A £33m 400-bed hospital facility is being built at the University Hospital of Wales site to help manage any potential increase in coronavirus cases this winter. The nearby 1,500-bed capacity Dragon's Heart Hospital at the Principality Stadium stadium received a total of 46 patients and has been decommissioned.

Primary schools will reopen after the half-term break, but only Years 7 and 8 in secondary schools can return at that time under new "firebreak" rules. Gatherings indoors and outdoors with people not in your household will also be banned.
